About Me

Hi, my name is Alicia.

Imaginary hair session at a very swanky antique shop in Portland, OR.   http://www.ilovevintagepink.com/
I'm a Project Engineer in the food industry; but I must say I don't fit the usual mold of an awk-duck Engineer (sorry to all of my fellow Engineers).  I definitely live for solving problems but sometimes I just want to flex a different more artistic muscle.  But, truth is I'm better at Engineering than being artistic.  That doesn't stop me from trying though.  I work pretty hard but I think I play harder.  I'm always looking for the next adventure, dragging one of my friends along for the experience.  I created this blog so I can share some of those adventures, and hopefully interact with some people that can put new ideas into my bag of tricks.  If you are close-minded or a fun sucker, you should probably press the "X" in the upper right hand corner.

Enough said.

What do you like to do in your downtime?
FUN in many forms.  My weekends stay pretty jam packed with some of the following things:  festivals, weekend trips, wine and beer tastings, camping, outdoor adventures, groupons/living social adventures, traveling, family fun, crafts (welding, jewelry making, pinterest ideas), eating my way through Texas with my bff's and obsessing over my niece Chloe.  Bottom line is, I have a hard time relaxing and having any idle time.  That's what sick days are for right?
My pride and joy, my niece Chloe.

What words describe you best?
Weird, eclectic, loyal and a little bit crazy.
Mmm, delicious chicken wing.

 What is your favorite movie?
I can't pick one!  Billy Madison, Beetlejuice, Pumpkin and Edward Scissorhands.  "If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis."

Give 3 examples of songs that make you happy?

Bjork - Possibly Maybe
Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney - The Girl is Mine
Raphael Saadiq - Doing What I Can

If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you did?
I would fly myself and all of my friends and family to Texas and throw a fajita party at Uncle Julios, picking up my bff's on the way.

What is the worst/best gift you've ever received?
One of my ex boyfriends gave me a $400 sweater.  I am the opposite of materialistic.  I was offended.  What was I supposed to do with a $400 sweater.  Even if I decided to wear it, I would spill on it instantly and then it would be ruined.  It was returned right away.  It was cute though.

My bff's gave me a shenis!  "Haven't you ever wanted to write your name in the snow?", "Aren't you jealous at how easily guys can whip it out and go no matter where they're at?"  My friends know me so well.  Also, last year I was given a Margaritaville from my boyfriend.  It was an amazing gift and we have perfected various delicious margaritas.

If you could stay any age forever which would it be?
22!  I just think being a hot, young, 22 year old was a great time.  In fact I threw parties for my friends as they turned 23 and we all wore black to mourn the loss of the best age ever!  I know, I know, there are great benefits to growing older and wiser.

Coke or Pepsi?
Coke, duh!

Britney or X-Tina
